Twitter Musings
I am sure it comes as no surprise to you that technology is changing lives around the world. Facebook is a way to connect with friends (and in some cases, potential friends around the globe). In fact my daughter met a new friend on a recent family vacation, who lives in England. They now chat regularly via Facebook. This opens the world for all of us.
The next one is Twitter. This is a technology that shares individual musings in very short snippets or “tweets”. Some tweets are thoughtful and relevant, and some people’s snippets are self-indulgent. The point, however, is that there are more ways to stay in touch than ever before. It can be cathartic
for the writer, and hopefully meaningful for the reader.
Those of you who follow me on Twitter at CharlesMCanada will have received some of these “tweets” regularly, but for those of you who don’t, I wanted to give you a sample of some of my favorite 140 characters posting to date. Hope you enjoy.
1. The victim gives control. The victor takes control
2. Play in the big leagues. Be a major league player in all that you do
3. Life is not unfair. Life is as fair as you make it
4. The walls we use to keep out the tears keep out the joy as well
5. When your really busy, focus your day and discipline to complete only the most productive of tasks
6. The future is bright for anyone with the courage and imagination to act on it
7. If there moaning about price either they are to cheap or shame on us for not establishing enough of the value factor
8. Never stop learning from the lessons life teaches us
9. On the other side of fear is freedom
10. Don’t let the dream stealers live in your head
